WANGANUI CLUB TEAM;) RACE HELL. BRAMWELL MEMORIAL RACE. The Wanganui Harrier Club held their annual Bramwell Memorial teams race, on Saturday. Five teams, each comprising six men, contested the race, ami the winning team comprised G. Johnston (captain), A. Penberthy, C. ( Taig, E. Gowan, G. Hopper, J. Wallace, who gained 35 points. They were followed by E. Kiddie’s team with 37 points. For individual honours C. Weller won from A. Bourgeois, who was followed by K. Johnston. The race commenced from the residence of Mr. W. L. Young (the club’s jpatron) iu Hatrick Street. The course followed Purnell Street past the Racecourse and Technical College Hostel and across a short lane to London Street. Turning to the right at London Street for 11’0 yards the competitors crossed two paddocks to come out on Parsons Street. Following Parsons Street until Springvale Road was reached a turn was made to the left, where Springvale Road was covered for half a-mile, when a steep hill was encountered. Two miles of varied country were covered, arriving near Bristol's Hill, past the Anglican Church, when a rather steep sandy hill was covered. The field arrived at Devon Road and .1000 yards of road were then covered. Two more damp paddocks were traversed across a short lane, back past the Technical College Hostel, continuing past the Racecourse to finish at the residence of Mr. Young. Results were as follows: C.
