TURKISH PRINCE’S DEATH
SUICIDE IN BROADWAY HOTEL Received Aug. 4, 6.20 p.m. NEW YORK, Aug. 3. Prince Abdul Kerim, aged 31, whom the police identify as a grandson of Abdul Hamid, the second last JSultan of Turkey, and a son of the Crown Prince, shot and killed himself in a room at a cheap Broadway hotel. Only seventy-five cents was found among his effects and an almost empty liquor bottle was left on the table. In a suiiede note addressed to the police, Kerim said that he was destroying himself because of his failure to win a wealth}'* American woman, marriage with whose fortune, he hoped, would facilitate the restoration of his family in Turkey.
