GIRLS LONELY JOURNEY
A slim, slightly-built twenty t wo yearold girl, Patricia McCain, is to start shortly on an unescorted horseback ride across Europe from Bulgaria tc Moscow. She was an invalid, and went to Bui garia in search of health. Now she has recovered. She has only a little money, and wants to see Central Europe. She thinks she can travel more cheaply and comfortably over the Balkans on horse back than by motor cycle. Miss McCain, an American, has been warned that it may be dangerous for a foreign girl to travel alone over tho route she proposes to follow. Her reply is, “Tho local people go about un molested. Why shouldn’t 1? Besides, 1 love adventure.”
