DEMAND EOR WETHERS. The Bank of New Zealand, Produce Department, received the following advice from its London office, as at close of business last week :—Smaller supplies ttf wethers have caused prices tu harden. There is only a poor demand for ewes. The demand for lambs continues, but it is not quite so brisk. The market for beef is steady. Trade generally is fairly quiet. Wethers, light, 4 1-Sd to 4 5-8 d per lb., .heavy, 3pl to 3 7-8 d; ewes, 2d to 27-8 d; lambs, 2’s 7 l-8d; ewes, 2d to 27-8 d
