BUTTER FIRM
DAIRY PRODUCE AT HOME. The market for New Zealand butter at Home is firm at an increase of Js per cwt. (wholesale) for the week, according to the weekly cabled report received on {Saturday by the Dairy Produce Board. The retail price for New Zealand butter has been increased from J Id to Is per lb., and Danish butter is selling retail at Is Id. Wholesale prices for butter are:— New Zealand, salted 93s to 94s per cwt. (which equals approximately 10.93 d per lb., f.0.b.); unsalted, 100 s to 10'2s; Australian, 92s to 935; Danish, spot, I.los. The cheese market is steady,, wholesale quotations being:—New Zealand white 45s to 45s fid per cwt. (which equals approximately 4.82 d per lb., f.0.b.); coloured, 44s fid to 455; Canadian, white and coloured, 02s to 04s. Minimum Export Prices. The Dairy Board has fixed the minimum f.o.b. prices for New Zealand dairy produce until further notice at 10 7-8 d per lb. for butter and 5d per lb. for cheese.
