Playing Rugby right, up to the traditional secondary schools standard, Timaru Boys’ High School secured a double win over Waitaki Boss’ High School in the annual contests, the seniors winning by 32 to nii anA lhe jui iors by 21 to 7. lhe feature of the games was the la’ct that the Timaru line was not crossed in either game. Both wins were due mainly to the brilliance of the Timaru backs, who were much too clexer for the visitors. Waitaki were a stone heavier all round in the forwards, but were outplayed and outpaced in the loose. AVaitaki secured the ball turn the inajoritv of serums and line-mHs but the backs lacked penetration. The schools have now met 64 times, \Aaitnki have won 33 games, Timaru 27 and tour were diawn.
