A 600-MILE EVENT. <• BRIGHTON TO SYDNEY. Received Julv 21, 6.30 p.m. SYIDNEY, July 21. •Cheered by 2090 people, William Darwin. a member of the Brighton Council, and drum-major of th? Brighton Municipal Band, set off this afternoon in an attempt to push a fellow bandsman. William Amiguet. froth Brighton to Sydney in a wheelbarrow in 10 weeks, the distance being 600 miles. There is a £lOO wager attached to the event. The barrow is streamlined and filled with a windscreen.
