WANGANUI WEST CLUB I ANNUAL MEETING HELD. ELECTION OF OFFICERS At. the annual meeting of members of the Wanganui West Bowling Club there was a fair attendance of members. A motion of sympathy with the relatives of the late Mr. F. Baker was car tied, members standing in silence. r J’he annual report and balance-sheet were presented and met with the approval of members. The election of officers iCbi.lted as follows: President, Capt J. White, vice-president, Mr. W Collim; hon. secretary, Mr. W. R. Smith; ti» usurer, Capt. J White; auditor, Mr. H. Price; Centre delegate, Mr. W. Moir; selectors, Messrs. C. Melville and A. Wilson; green superintendent, Mr. 11. Wilson; committee, Messrs. G. Lucock, S. Bidlake, J. Ennis and F. Hammond. It was resolved to play the Harkness Cup competition on the week ends, as last year, and the the alternate weekends are to be open days to enable members to play otf singles, pairs or any other competitions. Donations of trophies for all club competition games for the coining sea- ' son were assured. It was decided to favour for another year the singles and*pairs open tournament run by the Wanganui Centre, but that the club would not take part in any Centre competitions this season. Four new members were proposed. Votes of thanks and appreciation were accorded the ladies, the Press, the auditor,_and all officers of the club.
