Brook, the Harrogate man, who has commenced a flight from Lympne to the Cape of Good Hope in an attempt to complete the journey in four days, but crashed at Mersam Atrup, his machine being completely wrecked. Brook, who was not injured, holds the Aus-tralia-England solo flight record.
