Boxers’ Purses are Stolen in Course Of Fight

Mr Mark {Shanack, an official of the Pavilion Sports Arena, Whitechapel Road, London, told a Daily Mail reporter that the boxers’ purse and the entire takings from a crowded house were stolen while contests were being held at the arena recently. The money, amounting to nearly £2OO, had been placed in a bag in the private office there of Mr Victor Ross, the promoter of the contests. “Toward the end of the contest I saw Mr Ross rushing dowifStairs,” said Mr Shanack.
