RANGITOTO RABBIT BOARD. A meeting of the trustees of the Rangitoto Rabbit Board was held in Bulls yesterday. Present: Messrs. A. W. Amon (chair), E. A. Palmer, R. J. |K. Gray, E. H. Simpson, and W. A. Sutherland. Leave of absence was granted to Messrs. K. W. Dalrmyple and E. Gordon. Air. Amon welcomed the, new trustee, Mr. E. H. Simpson, who has taken the place of Mr. Duncan Simpson. The secretary’s resignation was received, and it was left in the hands of the chairman and Air. Gray to make a new appointment. The balance-sheet for the year ending 31/3/35 was presented, and received. The inspector’s report was received, and it was resolved to publish the diary. The next meeting will be held on June 10. The inspector’s report read as follows: Parewanui.—Started two on Air. J. H. Russell's rough paddock by school; signs on R. Young’s, R. Brown’s, W. Klatt’s and M. Anderson’s. Started four on riverbed. Raumai.—Saw two on S. McKenzie’s; started three on L. Taverner’s, A. W. Cooke’s, H. Green’s and J. H. Whisker’s swamp paddock. Saw signs on J. Jones’, F. Field’s, W. Guy’s, C. Mullions’, J. H. Perrett’s, A. E. Symes’ T. Torrey’s, E. Amon’s, and W. Carter’s.

Waitatapia.—Saw scattered traces and started four burrow rabbits at Sandridge, and signs in the bush paddock. Flock House.—Saw numerous traces and started several in the ewe paddock, and along the boundary of J. Russell’s and M. Anderson’s. Saw slight signs on the riverbed. A. Amon.—Saw slight signs on the sand country. Santoft.—Saw scattered traces and started five in the near run. Saw signs in the bluegum and rough paddock. Pukehou. Saw signs on Al. Brookie’s,’ the Fraser Estate, and Af. Beauchamp’s; started one on A. Trembath’s and W. Bracken’s. Koitiatia.—Saw slight signs round the Ferry Reserve and sand country. E. Gordon.—Saw slight signs in the holding paddock, and all along the boundary of D. Simpson’s. Saw scattered traces on A. Blanchard’s and R. Gray’s; fresh signs on L. McDermott’s, H. Richards’, S. McSkimming’s, and A. Escott’s. GENERAL NEWS. When the Parewanui School “broke up” on Friday afternoon, the pupils gathered to say good-bye to their teacher, Miss I. Ford, who is leaving the school, and will be married shortly. H. Marumaru, on behalf of the children, presented Miss Ford with a handsome crystal ornament, with best wishes of all.
