UNOFFICIAL CONFERENCE CRUCIAL DECISION TOSS AY. [ Per Press Association ] WELLINGTON, March 21. An unofficial conference was held this morning betwen representatives of the employers and Printers’ Union. No decision was reached, but the workers’ delegates reported to a meeting of the union at 3 o’clock. A further conference was held in the afternoon, at which various proposals for settlement were discussed. After a full and frank review from both sides the union representatives withdrew, and it is expected that the crucial decision will be made to-morrow afternoon. MEETING IN SOUTHLAND ( Par Praas Association ). INVERCARGILL, March 21. A fully-attended meeting of the Southland branch of the Typographical Union was held to-day to discuss the printing trade dispute. Various resolutions were passed regarding the present situation, but no information regarding the nature of the resolutions was made available for publication.
