According to private advice receiver in Wanganui, Mr Lawrence H. Carrel, of Melbourne, and formerly of Hawera and Wanganui, has been selected out of many applicants from different States for the position of manager of Rooney’s, Pty., Ltd., a company controlling large timber, hardware and furniture interests in North Queensland. Mr Carrel has already left Melbourne to take up his new appointment at the head office of the company at Townsville. Before proceeding to Queensland to reside, Mrs Carrel intends paying a short visit to Wanganui to see her mother, Mrs E. H. Suisted, of 34A Wickstced Street.
