Hapiilton, of Providence, United States, who have been on a holiday tour of New Zealand, left by the Mariposa from Auck>nd on Saturday for Honolulu. Mr W. Henderson-Cleland, of London, who has been on a holiday visit to the Dominion, left by the Mariposa from Auckland on Saturday, accompanied by Mrs Henderson-Cleland. Dr. R. L. Sutton, of Kansas City, who has been in New Zealand for the deep-sea fishing, left by the Mariposa from Auckland on his return to the United States, accompanied bv Mrs Sutton. Lieutenant-Colonel K. P. Varwell, formerly of the Royal Irish Rifles, who has been on an extended fishing holiday in the Dominion, sailed for Sydney by ’he Monowai from Auckland on Friday on his return to England. Sawer (Palmerston North); Mr. and Mrs. R. O. Gamby (Waipawa); Mr. Allen (Wanganui River); Mr. Reynard, Mr. Wild (Feilding); Mrs. Menzies, Miss Elmsley (Waverley). Mr. E. H. W. Rowntree, principal uf the Wanganui Intermediate School, was one of the guests at the West End (New Plymouth) School jubilee last week. He had formerly been first assistant and acting-headmaster at the West. End P ’iool, and he and Mrs. Rowntree made a special trip through to New Plymouth on Saturday to attend the jubilee . celebrations. A bouquet was presented to Mrs. Rowntree by Miss M. Jeffries, while on behalf of the old pupils Mr. A. Petty presented Mr. Rowntree with a fountain pen. The visitors were later entertained at supper.
