THE AUSTRALIAN JOURNAL

REVIEW OF MARCH ISSUE. With so many English and American periodicals being imported into this country every month, it is pleasing to see a really Australian magazine like The Australian Journal not only holding its own, but actually gaining ground with the reading public. The March issue of this ever-popular fiction magazine contains no less than fourteen brightly written and well-illustrated short stories. Such well-known and popular Australian writers as Georgia Rivers, Walter Smyth, Myra Morris, Wallace Dixon, Henry G. Lamond, Mavis Newton and many others are tured. In addition to fiction, there are pages of features, including fashions, radio notes, cookery hints and recipes, knitting and fancywork designs, para graphs, puzzles, and story, essay and verse competitions for junior contributors. There are two very good reasons for its popularity—the excellence of the production and the fact that the price is only sixpence!
