FATAL CAR ACCIDENT
MAN AND WIFE KILLED. [ Ter Preu Association. J NELSON, Feb. 5. A double fatality occurred last evening, when a car containing two Christ church residents on a holiday tour went over a bauk on the Wangantoa Saddle. The dead are .Mr. Herbert Berry, aged 00, painter, Berretta Street, Christchurch, and his wife. Deceased were on a motoring tear and while descending the Wangamoa Hill pulled to the side of the road when approaching a motor lorry. The ear went 100 far. with the result that it. was hurtled 150 feet down the steep slope. Both sustained head injuries, Mr. Berry dying in the ambulauce, ami .Mrs. Berry in hospital early this morning.
