TASMANIAN SWEEP RESULTS. [ Per Press Association. 1 AUCKLAND, Feb. 4. The first prize of £12,000 ic the Tasmanian consultation has been won by ap Onehunga syndicate. The ticket was taken out in the name of “Mrs. G,” Onehunga, Auckland, N.Z. The members of the syii'li-ate are Mrs. Gates, wife of Mr. I - .. Gates, boot maker, of Te Papa, Mrs. Peterkin, wife of Mr. J. Peterkin, painter, of One hunga. Mr. \V. Hooker of Te Papa, and Mr. \V. Molloy, of Onehunga. The £12,000 will be divided equally. Both Mrs. Gales and her husband are elderly. Mr. Hooker is married, with five children. He has been on relief sustenance for the past two and a halt vears. He said he had had a hard time ami the prize was a godsend. The depression has resulted in Mr. Peterkin Icing without, work for considerable period.-. He is married and has four •hildren. Mr. and Mrs. Molloy are in of a branch of the Onehunga ('o operative Stores. The third prize of £1250 was won by New Zealanders, the ticket being in the name of “77 Syndicate,” Mas terton, New Zealand, and the number
