AIRMAN’S ROMANCE
WAR TRAGEDY AS BASIS. LONDON, Feb. 3. The newspaper People states that an Australian Air Force officer, Mr. Robert Larkin, is proceeding to Australia tomorrow from Dusseldorf after marrying Fraulein Edda Ritzau. Mr. Larkin in war time brought down the German airman Herr Karl Niebuhr. He tried vainly to trace the next-of-kin in order to restore his effects and eventually located the fraulein and handed over photographs and other articles found on the body of Herr Niebuhr, who was her fiancee. A friendship sprang up between Mr. Larkin and the fraulein, and she consented to marry him, he having fallen in love with her from a photograph ■
