FEUDING SHOW
lor months past numerous sub-com-mittees have been at work making atlangeinents lor the 31st annual 1-eild-iug Show, which is to be held on Tuesday and Wednesday, February 5 and 6, and it is most pleasing to lear u that the total entries received are slightly higher than last year’s record. rhe association takes this opportunity of thanking all competitors lor ihe generous support accorded the association. Tho programme for each day and ebening is very complete, the judging of all cattle, sheep and pig classes commencing on Tuesday morning at 9 o'clock, and at 10 o’clock the dog trial will be held, for which 20 entrants have already been received and post entries will be accepted on the show gr ouuds. All horse and pony events and jumping competitions will’ take place at 9 a.m. Wednesday morning and continue throughout the day. Two o ’clock marks the hour of the Grand l.‘urad , e and 2.20 the despatch race. The chopping competitions will be held at 2.30 and should prove very attractive to the public. The West Coast Hunters’ Jumping Competition will be contested at 2-.30 p.m. The home industry display (honey, cookvry, preserves and needlework), will be well worth a tour of inspection, and the Women’s Institute displa staged in the stewards’ stand (upstairs), is something in the way of a novelty to Feilding and district. We remind our leaders that the catering arrangements for the show and ram fair are being undertaken by the combined committees of the Plunket Society, W.D-F.U. and W.l. and the A. and P. Association, and first-class menus and moderate charges will be made for the various varieties of meals supplied. The two evening concerts promise to be the best ever staged, and it is an ticipated that, the association will be favoured with a very large attendance each night.
