WOMEN TEACHERS
A SALARY PETITION HOUSE TABLES REPORT ( Per Press Association 7. WELLINGTON, Sept. 18. In the House of Representatives,,Mr W. A. Bodkin, on behalf of the Education Committee, presented a report on the petition of the New Zealand Women Teachers’ Association regarding 2A women teachers and the reduction in salary by £3O. The report stated that in view of tho assurance of the Education Department that 2A teachers were now receiving additional salary to that reduced by the cuts, and will receive it unless a school falls in grade and they decline to transfer to another school, the committee had no recommendation to make. The report was tabled.
