OTAKI-MAORI RACING CLUB
THE SPRING MEETING NOMINATIONS ON FRIDAY. The spring meeting of the Otaki Maori Racing Club will be held on Friday and Saturday, October 5 aud 6. with eight races set down for each day. The principal event on the opening day is the Ling Memorial Stakes, run over ten furlongs, while on the second day the Rerc Neiktene Memorial Stakes will be decided over nine furlongs. The rest of the programme is an attractive one. Nominations for all events close on Friday at 8 p.m. It should be noted that Otaki has adopted the earlier closing of nominations desired in many other centres. Weights for the first day are due next Monday.
