THE SYDNEY SALES BETTER CONTINENTAL DEMAND Received Sept. 17, 8.40 p.m. SYDNEY, Sept. 17. At the wool sales 9444 bales were offered and 8085 were sold, also 1048 privately. There was an increased Continental demand to-day. with strong support from Yorkshire and Japan. The market was firm at the closing rates of last week. Greasy Merino fleece made 15Jd for seven bales from Mcree.
