Whisker, of Tikitiki, Bay of Plenty, who has been visiting his treats at Parewanui, went to Wellington at the end of the week. The Bulls R.S.A. has kindly offered to put on an old-time dance in aid of the funds of the Plunket Society. Air. W. A. Churchill, president of the Bulls R.S.A., presided at a combined meeting of members of the R.S.A. and Plunket Society on Friday evening, when arrangements were completed for the function. The funds of the Plunket Society are in urgent need of replenishment, and no efforts will . be spared to make this dance a brilliant success. Particulars will be advertised lated. . The Ohakea School plain and fancy dress ball is being looked forward to by pupils and parents alike, and the function will be held at Sanson on October 5.
