STRIKE AT LYSAGHT’S
BREACH OF UNDERTAKING. Received Sept. 3, 10.15 p.m. SYDNEY, Sept. 3. Describing the stoppage of work at Lysaght’s factory, Newcastle, as s breach of the undertaking given by the employees that the woik would continue uninterruptedly, Mr. Justice Cantor, of the Industrial Commission, today rescinded the award which is applicable to the ironworkers’ section of Lysaght's. Counsel for Lysaght’s stated that the strike meant that huge consignments of galvanised iron would have to be brought from England to enable Lysaght’s to keep faith with their customers, owing to the exceptionally heavy de man ds on the locnl m ills.
