4, NO-CONFIDENCE MOTION [ Per Press Association ] AUCKLAND, Aug. 31. An extraordinary general meeting of ] the Auckland So*cietv for the Prevention of Crueity to Animals to-night adopted a new constitution of rules. The meeting carried a motion expressing alarm at the financial position and no-confidence in the committee. It also resolved to direct the committee to sell the Blue Cross hospital and stray animals’ home at Penrose, which the society purchased last year and which was former!v opened in Anril by Lord Bledis’oe. The statement of accounts showed a deficit of £449 <-ti the working <• ’ the home to th® end of July.
