Ignoring a demand to put up his hands, Paul Drasdoff, aged 45, a Russian, was shot dead in his suburban shop by a youthful bandit, who, with a companion was interfering with the till when they were surprised by Drasdoff. The men escaped in the darkness before they could be overtaken by Drasdoff’s wife.
