On the whole Tuesday , night promises to make listory for the ’ Marton Association, ami lovers of a good, clean manly sport should patronise the association’s endeavour to pro4 vide excellent entertainment in their s home town. A committee meeting of the Rangiitikei Cricket Association was held in the Marton Jockey Club’s rooms on Saturday night, Mr. G. L. Marshall presiding. The committee decided on combining with the Wanganui Collegiate Old Boys’ Association in the organising of a ball, Friday, October 19, being the date fixed for the function. A special committee has been set up. consisting of the following:—Messrs. C. A. Tidy, P. P. J Corballis, H. Parkes. A. B. Marshell. H. Lambert and H. Low. Mr. D. A. Cameron was appointed to deal with the fixtures for the forthcoming season. The opening date for the 1934-35 season has been fixed for October 19.
