BRITISH-ISRAEL ASSOCIATION
Under the auspices of the above, Mr R. B. Horsley will letture in Victoria Hall, to-morrow (Tuesday) night, the subject being 44 A Nobleman’s Journey and What it Involved.” Under this subject, matters of great interest to British Israelites will be dealt with. The speaker needs no introduction a Wanganui audience and an interesting evening is assured. Everybody is invited. to-day services spring up within the law which become uneconomic because they are allowed to develop without control; and then aggressive, drastic, and almost unjust action has to be taken to eliminate them again. I hope we shall be able to find time within the near future to go far more deeply and widely into our transport policy, with a view to preparing and embodying in the law provisions which will have the effect of regulating transport from one end of the country to the other on such an economic basis that those who use our transport services will be able to develop the potential wealth of the Dominion under a cheap, economical, safe, and well organised transport system. I submit the Bill for the consideration of hon. members and trust they will give me such support as they feel justified in giving. I move the second reading.
