INFANTILE PARALYSIS
NEW VACCINE ANNOUNCED SPINAL CORDS OF MONKEYS Received Aug. 19. 7.10 p.m. PHILADELPHIA, Aug. 18. After three years’ experimenting with monkeys, Dr. John Kohlmer, pro Jessor of medicine at Temple Univer sity, announces that he has discovered a successful method of vaccinating human being to immunise them from Infantile paralysis. The va*ccine is prepared from the spinal cords of monkeys. Professor Kohlmer already has vac cinated himself and an assistant, the operation only resulting in slight sore ness of the arm. It is said that it is expected that such innoculatiln even tually will become a standard practice in infancy.
