Nurse Cripps, of the Public Hospital, Ashburton, has returned to her home in Wanganui, where she will spend some weeks' holiday. 'fhe Countess of Orford and her daughter. Lady Anne Walpole, who left. Auckland last week, have a liking for hansom cabs, and were delighted to find one of these antique equipages in Sydney, and in it they jog-trotted around the city on a tour of inspection. If time had permitted they would have crossed the harbour bridge in a similar manner. Lady Anne, who is not yet fifteen, will probablv go abroad later to school. Hitherto, her studies have been directed by a governess. After a few years in Europe, Lady Anne (who is a direct descendant of one of the most famous English political families) will return to her home in New Zealand.
