ESPERANTO CLUB
The Wanganui Esperanto Club met on Wednesday evening for its usual weekly meeting, with a good attendance of members. Under the guidance of the vice-president the class made further progress with the study of the international language. Word is to hand giving the mAvs that the next New Zealand Esperanto Congress will be held in Palmerston North. As the club members are now gaining in proficiency it is hoped that the local club will be represented. Twenty-three international congresses have proved the freedom with which ideas are exchanged by men and women of every nation who speak Esperanto. There is no difficulty of speaking, no repetition of speeches, no tedious interpreting, no risk of misunderstanding. In contrast to the laborious, and often ineffective, methods of other congresses, Esperanto congresses are practical, simple, and intelligent. “ Hi-Speed‘ Hi -Speed ’ ’ —Electric Fires, for cosy warmth. 17/-. —Advt.
