ALBANIAN SITUATION FIVE ITALIAN WARSHIPS LONDON, July 1. The Guardian’s Geneva correspon* dent says that despite Albanian protests five Italian warships arc remainmg at Durazzo. Simultaneously Italy has proposed a resumption or negotiations concerning the Albanian debt, payments on which were suspended in .1932. Albania has declined until tho warships depart. The situation worries the League secretariat, which has consulted several European Governments. Albania officially demes consenting to the warships* visit and has added that she is prepared to defend her independence against any threat.
