OBITUARY
LUKE OF MARLBOROUGH LONDON, June 30. The death has occurred of the Duke of Alarlborough. Charles Richard John SpencerChurchill, ninth Duke of Alarlborough, was in his 73rd year. He succeeded his father in 1892. He was Undersecretary of State for tho Colonics from 1903 tu 1905, and Parliamentary Secretary to the Board of Agriculture in 1917-18. He is succeeded by his sou, the Alarqucss of Blandford.
SIR ECCLES SNOWDEN LONDON, June 30. The death has occurred of Sir Eccles Snowden, managing director of F. W. Aloore and Co., Ltd., Australian merchants. He became ill after speaking at a luncheon in London given by Sir James Cooper in connection with the Canned Fruits Export Board. He was sent in an ambulance to his home at Afaidenhead, where he died after midnight without recovering conscious ness. AIR F. M. WARD . Received July 2. 11.55 n.m. SYDNEY’, July 2.
