SNOW IN SOUTH
HEAVY FALL AT TIMARU ( Per Press Association ). TIMARU, July 2. | 'l’hc most prolonged snowstorm for a | number of years was experienced in 1 Timaru to-day. Hitow commenced ■'lioitly before nine and continued for half an hour. Shortly before noon another storm broke-and continued fot two hours. The fall in parts of the town was about, two inches. Reports from various parts of the district indicate that the general fall I v.as up to 3 inches.
