WORLD RECORD FIGURES. Received July ], 11.50 p.m. VANCOUVER, July 1. At Milwaukee, Vancouver, Bill Bon thron, of Princetown, set a new' world’s record for the 1500 metres on Saturday. when he was timed to run it in 3.4Bmin. Glen Cunningham, of Kansas, was second. Jack Torrance, Louisiana State Uni versitv heaved a 161 b shot 55ft sin for a world record. Glen Harden, Torrance’s team-mate smashed the world record for the 440 metre hurdles, taking 51.8 sec.
