; FORD AND THE N.R.A. Received July 1, 6.20 p.m. DETROIT, June, 30. Mr. Henry Ford to-day pledged compliance with the N.R.A. DEALERS’ DEMANDS. GOVERNMENT SALES LOST. Received July 1, 7.5 p.m. WASHINGTON, June 30. Apparently on the insistence of local dealers, who are losing much valuable Government business, Mr. Ford seems to be preparing to accept the N.R.A. and post the Blue Eagle insignia un his plant. After a ten months’ bitter controversy with the Government, General Johnson to-day announced that he had been given an unsigned communication purporting to be from the Ford Compay, agreeing to comply with the automobile code. General Johnson said that when a letter was signed by Mr. Ford, “with certain revisions,’’ the Government boycott of his products would be lifted.
