WESTBOURNE LINKS
ON MUNICIPAL LINES. By running the old Castlecliff links on municipal lines at so much per round, the owners seem to have supplied a long-felt want, judging by the number who patronise the links. These links are too well known to need any comment upon them, and it would have been a pity had they been allowed to go to ruin after the amount of money which has been spent there. The public of Wanganui and visitors to the city can now play a round of golf, pay their green fees, and be free from the worries of club management. Of last week-end rounds 11** best scores handed in for 18 holos were:— Ladies: Miss A. Bambcr, who drove the first ball in the new venture; Miss 8. Grey, Miss Evans, Miss I. Holt. Men: D. Durie, W.
