RACING IN RANDWICK
BIGGER BANDWICK PRIZES. SYDNEY, June 9. The Australian Jockey club has decided to add a further £2lOO to the prize money for the spring meeting at Randwick in October. This means that the stakes to be distributed at the meeting will be £25,000, or £3600 more than last year.
rhuria’s Recovery. Reports from Christchurch state that Thurina soon recovered from his recent trouble, and was galloped six furlongs at Riccarton recently. He was to be schooled this week, and it is hoped to j have him ready to race at Trentham. although his short let-up may mean that he will not be as forward as desired for the Wellington Steeplechase, to be run on the first day. It has been decided that W. J. Bowden will ride Kim at Trentham, but D. O’Connor will continue to school
