To-day, June 30, represents more than jfist the close of the first halfyear to a numerous section of the population of the Dominion. For them it is the date upon which their bonus certificates are issued by the A.ALP. Society. For the past six months the actuarial department of the society at the head office in Sydney and the New Zealand branch staff have boon preparing these welcome epistles, and to-day, in accordance with the invariable custom of the society, the certificates are posted to its members. This year the number distributed in New Zealand amounts to approximately 89,000. and the amount of reversionary bonuses allotted for the year 1933 represented by these certificates is fust short of one million pounds.
