SHOOTING FATALITY
YOUNG MAN’S DEATH ( Per Press Association ). AUCKLAND, June 28. A shooting accident yesterday afternoon resulted in the death of Albert Wech, aged 24, single, of Atturoa. Wech was out shooting with another young man, Robert Bcaollum. The two men were working their way toward Wech’s home and were crossing a gully. Scholium, who was walking a short distance in front of His companion, heard a shot and turned round to find Wech lying across a rock in a stream at the foot of the gully. Seeing that Wech was severely wounded, lie immediately went for assistance, but Wech died before the doctor arrived. A double-barrelled shot-gun had made a large wound under the right armpit. the shot shattering the snouider and entering the chest. Apparently Wech jumped from the bank of the stream to the rock and tripped, the gun being discharged by the butt striking the ground.
