ENCOURAGEMENT IN BRITAIN Received Juno 28. 10.5 p.m. LONDON, Juno 28. The Minister for Air (Sir Philip Sassoon) in the House of Commons, announced that the Government was prepared to make grants not exceeding £5OOO yearly for five years towards the formation and maintenanco of a central gliding school, coupled with a capitation grant to approved clubs. It was hoped that generous additional support would be forthcoming from private source!.
