FREE ELECTRICITY
WIRES TAMPERED WITH. STOREKEEPER FINED £7. [ Per Press Association. ] WELLINGTON, June 27. Theft of electricity valued at 5s 3d. was admitted by a Petone shopkeeper, William Masters, who also pleaded guilty to tampering with wires. It was stated that he wired the main wires to prevent the current passing through the meter. A fine of £7 was imposed, defendant also to pay the ss.
