UNEMPLOYMENT BOARD
MR. JESSEP’S RESIGNATION CONFIRMED BY MR. FORBES. [ Per Pres* Association. I WELLINGTON, June 27. Confirmation of a report that Mr. J. S Jessep had tendered his resignation as a member of the Unemployment Board was given by the Prime Minister the Hon. G. Forbes, this evening. Mr. Forbes said that a s Mr. Jessep s letter of resignation had only been received that day no consideration had yet been given to the question of filling the vacancy. A tribute to the services performed hv Mr. Jessep was paid by the chairman of the board, the Hon. A Hamil ton, who said that Mr. Jessep had beet a most energetic member and hao given very valuable service in ’nitiating schemes for the absorption of the u n e m pl oy e d. _
