CONFIDENCE RETURNING
SIGNS IN THE WAIKATO DEMAND FOR FARM LANDS BIG DEPOSITS OFFERED. ( Per Press Association ). HAMILTON, June 26. A promising sign of returning confidence among investors is provided in the ready inquiry for land in thc Waikato. In recent months a local firm of stock and station agents reports more than double the volume of business transacted. Several deals involving 200 acres have been finalised. Properties suitable for mixed farming have been more in demand. An encouraging feature has been thc large amount of ready cash available. In a number of cases sums ranging from £3OOO to £4OOO have been offered and paid as a deposit. While thc inquiry for farms has been very good there has been little inquiry for dairy land compared with the previous demand, the inference being that investors are waiting for thc finding of thc Dairy Commission.
