BANK AND THE STATE
QUESTION OF EEFICITS. BANK BOARD’S ATTITUDE. SYDNEY, June 25. The chairman of the Commonwealth Bank Board (Sir Claude Reading) is issuing a statement setting out the attitude adopted by the Bank Board in tho recent negotiations with the Council concerning the financing of tho Governmental deficits. He denied that the hoard had stipulated any amount to which the State deficits should be limited. The board, however, had informed the Loan Council that it was seriously concerned with tho amount of finance sought from the bank. __
