SURREY BEATEN AT OVAL. LONDON, May 8. Results of the county cricket matches arc:— Glamorgan v. Surrey, at the Oval.— Glamorgan 352 (Lavis 83 not out)» Surrey 113 (Clay six for 33, E. Davies four for 29) and 147 (Hobbs 62; Clay six for 51). Glamorgan won by an innings and 92 runs. Kent v. Essex, at Gravesend.—Kent 273 (Todd 130) and 133 (Eastman five for 23); Essex 244 (Lewis eight for 58) and 166 for eight wickets (Cutmore 97 not out; Freeman five for 87). Essex won by two wickets. Northamptonshire v. Middlesex, at Northampton. Northamptonshire 124 and 152 (Peebles 'five for 54, Robins five for 59); Middlesex 220 (Hendren 50. Enthovcn 82) and 59 for four wickets (Matthews four for 15). Middlesex won by six wickets. Lancashire v.
