HUMAN SKULL
FOUND AT SUMNER I Per Pre=s Association, j CHRISTCHURCH, May 9. A human skull with a portion of a bqne fractured and a cut just over thu position of the left ear was found in the Sumner estuary and h<s been handed over to the police, who are investigating. It had been lying in the mud and was very discoloured. It may be that of someone who has disappeared fairly recently. Ou the other hand, one authority inclines to the belief that it. belongs to a Maori female. '
