NATIONAL DAIRY SHOW

It is a matter for all round gratifica tion to know that despite existing conditions, the Manawatu and West Coast Agricultural and Pastoral Association maintains the same steadfast spirit, of optimism. Obstacles to its progress have always been met with renewed determination to succeed, with the result that fron the small but solid foundations laid nearly half a century ago, a great and worthy institution has beon built up which reflects unstinted credit to its promoters and the centre in which its activities are conducted. Therefore, it is not suprising to know that the forthcoming winter fixture has been planned to include exhibitions of dairy, farm, produce, stock, home industries, and ring competitions, together with new features of educational value. A new and attractive feature of the show will be the competitive display by the Women’s Institutes, entries for which close on May 21. Schedules for all com peit.ive classes will be posted free on application tn the secretary, Mr. W. T. Penny, P.O. Box 85, Palmerstuii North.
