METROPOLITAN UNION MANAGEMENT EXECUTIVE WEEKLY MEETING HELD The weekly meeting of thc Wanganui Metropolitan Kuguy Union was held last evening, Mr. J. Moye presiding. There were also present: — Messrs. J. Cotterill, A. Takarangi, A. Lockett, H. Udy, Nauinann, H. Whiting, C. Danielson, W. R. McElwain. The Wanganui and Old Boys Club applied for the use of Williams Park on Saturday. Thc application was granted, together with a request that the junior team play County at Fordell. The Kaiwhaiki Club wrote asking for a challenge match for thc Wilson Cup. The letter was referred to the fixtures committee. The Aramoho Club applied for permission to use the grandstand dressing rooms on Wednesdays. The request was granted subject to tho usual conditions. The Wairoa Union applied for a match against the Metropolitan Union’s “Colts” at Waitotara on Saturday. It was regretted that longer notice had not been given, and it was decided to reply stating that ' all the Wanganui clubs had made arrangements to play on Saturday. It was stated that the union would be willing to arrange a match at an early date. Tho Taihape Rugby Union wrote asking for a tentative date for a match with Wanganui. It was decided that Taihape be written to stating that dates would be forwarded at the end of thc first round of the club competitions, which would conclude at the end of the month. Discussion took place with regard to thc primary school representative matches with thc Taranaki primary school representatives. Mr. F. C. Jannings was present and a letter was read from the North Taranaki Primaiy Schools Sports Association. It was eventually agreed that the Taranaki team be asked to travel to Wanganui on June 4, and to suggest that Wanganui should pay a return visit during ■ August. Thc Wanganui Rugby Union will be asked to assist with the expenses for the match on June 4. It was pointed out that a Technical Old Boys team had not been numbered correctly when playing on Spriggens > Park last week. It was decided that a letter should be sent to the club pointing out that all players should be

correctly numbered. J. Peete and W. Morgan were regraded to junior and fourth grades respectively. Messrs. Cotterill and Sewell were appointed a committee to draft a set of standing orders. A letter was received from the Ratana Club stating that it would voluntarily withdraw from the club competition for the present season.
