TALLOW AND HEMP
LONDON AIARKETS QUIET. The Department of Agriculture has received the following cablegram, dated May 5, from the High Commissioner for New Zealand, London:— Tallow: Market continues quiet, with values nominally unchanged. Hemp: Manila—Market quiet, with poor demand. •Closing values, “K” grade, for May-July shipment, £l3 ss. Sisal —Alarket quiet and closed easier. ,Tune-August shipment sold at £l6 15s; and July-September .shipment at £l6 .17s 6d. New Zealand—Alarket nominally unchanged. No first-hand sales reported.
